As promised I have put together my chosen top 10 ceremony pieces for a perfect wedding day. Let me know what you think. Below you will find the first five and I will post the rest later. Going to try and get out for a walk in this snow – getting cabin fever at this stage.
We all know music can really set the scene (and induce floods of tears!) at weddings. The right music is key to whatever vibe you’re going for be it classical, romantic, boho or even a star wars theme (wouldn’t be my choice now). I love hearing what music you have picked for your wedding ceremony as it reveals a lot about your personality so please let us know your thoughts.
1. Canon in D – Pachelbel.
This is a very popular choice for most brides. This gorgeous piece of music sounds beautiful. This would definitely make a perfect choice for any wedding.
2. Here comes the bride – Vicente Avella
Often known as Here Comes The Bride, this piece of classical music is the traditional choice for any bride, and is often played on an organ. I’ve chosen a slightly more modern arrangement by Vicente Avella on classical piano. I absolutely love it. I must have listened to it about 10 times this morning. Some might think I was dropping hints…lol…
3. Now We Are Free (Gladiator Theme) – Violin Cover – Taylor Davis
Walking down the aisle to a song from your favourite film soundtrack is another way to incorporate instrumental music with a personal touch into your ceremony. My personal choice would be music from the Gladiator and I absolutely fell in love with this song when I first heard it. The Violin cover is amazing and would bring any audience to their feet.
4. The Prayer – Celine Dion ft Andrea Bocelli
This gorgeous piece of music sounds fabulous as always by Celine Dion ft Andrea Bocelli. There is an equally fabulous cover by a very talented Irish Operatic Singer Sinead O’Brien and Derek Moloney. Sinead is a very busy wedding singer so you would need to book her in advance.
5. Ellie Goulding – Love Me Like You Do Cover (Cello/Piano) – Brooklyn Duo
If you want a modern song but aren’t sure what sort of thing to go for, then I think this a great choice. The melody is beautiful, and the tempo isn’t too fast. It would definitely be one I would consider. I love the piano and cello together. I could listen to it all day.
There you have it, the first 5 of my top 10 Wedding Ceremony pieces. Let me know what you think and I will be back later to let you know the rest.
